Al Dinwiddie is a seasoned finance and real estate executive with more than three decades of experience spanning municipal investment banking, infrastructure finance, structured products, and fixed-income markets. A 22-year veteran of Loop Capital, he has held multiple senior leadership positions throughout his career, contributing to the firm’s growth across several key business sectors.
Currently, Al leads Loop Capital’s real estate and infrastructure portfolio investment and development initiatives, overseeing large-scale mixed-use, specialty asset class, and event-driven projects. His work focuses on the strategic intersection of development, finance, and investment management across every stage of a project lifecycle. In this role, he directs stakeholder engagement, investor relations, acquisitions and dispositions, capital structuring, and overall project execution.
Earlier in his career at Loop Capital, Mr. Dinwiddie played a pivotal role within the firm’s Project Finance team, where he managed banking coverage for student housing and real estate finance initiatives. He was instrumental in establishing the firm’s presence within an emerging market segment by creating and leading a financial products platform that ultimately managed more than $3 billion in structured fixed-income and derivative transactions.
Known for his strategic insight and broad industry expertise, Al has built a reputation as a trusted leader in finance and development. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Howard University and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
